Well, thank you Hurricane Isaac…you gave us a rainy day for a wedding. But lore says that rain on your wedding day is good luck! So off we went…Saturday morning, we met in Kirkwood for Allison, her mama, and her sisters to get their hair done. Allison and I are kindred spirits in that we both should probably walk around with an IV that drips coffee straight into our arms! MMMMM….Starbucks…..
Her awesome dad went on a Sarbucks run for them. From the salon, we headed over to Merle Norman to have makeup done. Those ladies did a stellar job!! But I must confess, it makes your job easier when the ladies already look good without makeup!
The couple made their promises in a beautiful fashion, and their first kiss was one of the best we’ve captured! This was right after they were announced husband and wife:
So cute Seriously, isn’t she glowing?
What a beautiful bride! After the church, we hit the road. The newly married Cruz’ are big Cardinals fans, and they desperately wanted to snag some pics outside of Busch Stadium, but the torrential downpour we were experiencing required us to find someplace inside. Thank goodness we did or we wouldn’t have been able to stage these little nuggets of amazingness in Union Station:
Something you should know: Julio is a former Marine, his brother (and Best Man) served in the Army, and Allison’s Brother-in-Law is currently serving our country as a soldier (Hooah, 82nd Airborne!). So, when a solder, who was part of another wedding, photo-bombed this image (look at the top), I thought it only apropos!
We caught a break in the weather, so we quickly scooted over to Busch Stadim while we had the chance. I handed a piece of chalk and small chalkboards to the bride and groom and asked them to fill in the blank, “You are my _____”. I love their answers! A little behind the scene’s here: Almost every morning, Julio texts Allison with his answer (ok, wipe your tear and move on, there’s more to see).
Short on time, we headed to the reception. One of THE best receptions we’ve been involved with. The Father/Daughter Mother/Son dances were touching
Most of Allison’s coworkers attended the wedding, so we snapped a quick pic of her with the girls. One of the boys felt left out, so he is now “one of the girls”.
Last but not least, we have the cutest Flower Girl and Ring Bearer EVER. Obviously, the Ring Bearer found the photobooth, because he is DECKED OUT!!!
Congratulations, Allison & Julio! We love you and were so honored you asked us to capture your day!!!Church: The Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens Reception: Orlando’s Transportation: Fun Tyme Limousine Hair: Salon: TexTure Makeup: Merle Norman
